After a casual Saturday afternoon stroll across the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge it was time to walk under the bridge and head back to Memphis!

Rail and what was a Road!
The Harahan Bridge, Memphis, Tennessee. Shot from the Arkansas side and showing the old road (minus the wood, although there are sill remnants of the old wooden road as well).

Moving Freight
BNSF locomotives hauling freight across the Frisco Bridge. The locomotives are General Electric Evolution model number ES44AC built probably in January 2006. The units are powered by a 12 cylinder diesel engine and alternating current traction motors that develop 4,400 horsepower.
